Talk:0-Dimension Gameplay

It seems to me the cardinality of gameplay for Dance Dance Revolution varies depending on the type of controller used. When played with a dancepad, DDR players must think and move in three dimensions, since their feet need to be placed correctly on the 2D gamepad, and the player needs to be thinking in the 3D dimension about jumping correctly to make the next foot arrangement. As well, there is an element of needing to have weight correctly distributed to ensure feet can be in the right place.

I agree that the experience of playing DDR varies incredibly depending on the input device used, however I think that the cardinality of gameplay, in this case 0-Dimension, is independent of the [Input Device]. The [Cardinality of Gameplay] refers to the degrees of freedom of movement that the player has within the game. I think that the entry for [Cardinality of Gameplay] should be more clear on that, because you raise a very valid point of confusion. Jp 13:51, 26 January 2007 (EST)

Removed the Tetris example since it isn't correct (you don't change shapes in tetris, you rotate them) and there is also movement. The player can move the pieces left and right as well as affect how fast they drop. Jp 13:59, 20 February 2007 (EST)
